In the Summer of 2019, Drew Hunthausen, a blind and partially deaf triathlete, participated in the Herbalife24 Triathlon Los Angeles.
At age 11, Drew contracted a case of bacterial meningitis that left him in a coma. Ten days into his coma, Drew’s kidneys began to fail, and the doctors informed his parents that he may not survive. Three months later he emerged from his coma both blind and hearing-impaired. Despite these changes, Drew was determined to continue his life uninterrupted. Drew has since participated in over ten triathlons and several open water races and 100-mile bike rides. Upon meeting Drew, Campsite Media House instantly knew they wanted to tell his story as a branded short film.
